Which is the most dangerous viruses for a computer?norton ghost
Any virus is dangerous to your computer. I used to stick by Norton Systemworks with Anti-Virus. I still use systemworks to cleanup my computer, defrag my drives, and check for disk drive and windows errors. I've been using Kasperky for at least 6 months now, and I love it. It catches everything! It found viruses in some of my zip files that Norton couldn't even find. It automatically updates itself and runs scans in the background, slowing down the scan if necessary to maintain optimal system performance. In other words, you will hardly ever notice when it's updating and scanning for viruses. It really is maintenance free. It's an expensive program, but worth the money, compared to losing your hard drive and everything on it, or possibly even your computer. At one point I remember seeing it being the top rated anti-virus software available at cnet. Also, compared to Norton, McAfee, Trend Microsystems, and CA, it outperformed all the others with a 99.57% Virus detection rate (av-comparatives website). New threat response time in hours 0-2 (av-test website). 83.3% Leak tests passed by the firewall (firewallleaktester website).. Also has automatic hourly updsates, real-time protection, on demand and shceduled scanning, disinfects files in zip, ari, cap, rar, and lha archives, has an option to scan only new and modified files, has proactive anti-virus protection, proactive behaviour blocker, proactive rootkit removal, system restore after malicious attack, detects harmful macros in MS Office, disinfects MSTP %26 POP3 e-mail, disinfects IMAP4 email, scans http traffic on the fly, optimizes protection level with scan speed, suspends scanning during increased usage, has integrated spyware and adware protection, protects against phishing attacks, phishing protection when opening web pages, integrated firewall, integrated spam protection, integrated spam learning program, allows you to view message subjects before downloading, anti-spam filtering by message header, ati-spam graphic image analysis, users can change interface appearance, supports power saving for laptops, supports winXP x64.
