How to get rid of viruses from my system without anyfinancial implication?

my sytem alarmed the presence of some lethal viruses .When I tried to remove this with my existing antivirus programme,I was informed to get the updated version of the software at cost which generally costs a fortune and Ican ill afford this.Could anybody suggest to get rid of my problem to restore my system?

boot pc in safe mode .. tap f8 on boot

then scan

also install a firewall if u don't have one...

the on;y thing i can suggest is go into start then control panel then add or remove programs and in there delete any corupt files but your best bet is to buy the software otherwise your computer could get to the point of not working
