Whenever i try to right click soething and press scan for viruses nothing happens. Im using Symantec AntiVirus and usually when i right click a folder and press scan for viruses a small box comes up saying that its scanning it, but lately when i try it nothing happens. Has anyone got any idea how to fix this? If i have to i dont mind installing another antivirus program but as long as it has a feature where i can quickly scan a folder for viruses like this program used to.

Sometimes some files in your antivirus software might have been corrupted due to a some problem.Try to fix this by reinstalling the antvirus software.any how if you like to install another antivirus software you can install AVG free edition.

AVG also has that feature.But instaling two virus guards might make problems.so uninstall first one before install another one.
