Is there any good sources for downloading free music without viruses??

i have a macbook with MAC OX leopard and i wanted to know if im prone to viruses when downlaoding things like limewire. I was wondering if there are any safer ways to not get a virus. I hear MAC OX leopard makes viruses virtually impossible but im not sure if its the kind of safety i need. any suggestions?

No you only get viruses if you download programs or zips. Also most of these viruses only infect windows computers and don't work on macs.

Limewire is perfect for you but remember you are breaking laws when you pirate music.

I'm not sure about the whole thing with Macs and viruses, but i have a normal PC, and limewire has given me viruses before, as well as all the other p2p programs i've used, except for Bittorrent.

I've been using Bittorrent for a couple years and I'd have top give it my recommendation, no problems whatsoever.

Regarding viruses on Limewire and your Mac - while Macs are not affected by PC viruses, if you do download and attempt to run an infected MP3 file on your Mac there is a good chance that you will corrupt the other MP3 files in your collection as Macs do run MP3 files.
