How do u check for viruses...?

i have Firefox.... and i really don't know how to check for viruses... my older bro. always does that.

even though its my laptop i am scared i might have some and i want to skip the lecture thing... ^_^

First of All, download free version of AVG 7.5 and Install it. Then download Stinger V3.4.9

Now restart your PC into safe mode by pressing F8 while booting up. Once PC boot up with safe mode then fully scan your PC and Run Stinger as well. So if you got any virues then it will remove.
I see I'm already late... but yeah, try out the free version of AVG. Finding the free version can be a little bit of a pain to find so here's a link.
