Windows PC vs Mac vs Linux...Viruses and malware and more?

I keep seeing these ads on TV w/ Macs bashing PCs running windows. These are mainly about viruses and malware, also about hardware. And yet Macs can now run Windows....wuz-up-with-that??

What is your view... state your platform preference first, then your view.

Of course, I use Windows. That's where the people are.

Macs are great, but not sharable. It is also a closed architecture with high expenses in software, hardware and support.

Linux is good, but there is no company or billion dollar backing it. There is no marketing, no education. It simply is not a user based system. Free simply is not worth it, when support is awefully expensive and many devices don't work right.

So go ahead and BASH Windows. I do. But I also point out that it is an evil that we can't do without. Get your updates. Get your Anti-virus, Get your Anti-Spyware and do your basic maintanance. DO YOUR BACKUPS.

In general, it stinks when a Windows Computer does not come with a RESTORE disk or reinstallation Windows CD. That means that it is incomplete. Because someday, you will have to reinstall Windows. It will be totally broken, or the hard drive will be FRIED.
