Doing a paper on Rabies and jus need 2 know two differences between Viruses and Bacteria
What are 2 differences between 'Viruses and bacteria'?free antivirus download
1) The genetic material in virus is RNA whereas that for bacteria is DNA
2) Bacteria is unicellular (with a cell wall) whereas virus has a non-cellular structure

Bacteria have cell walls and DNA. Viruses are celless with RNA.
viruses aren't living organisms and bacteria are.
All bacteria are surrounded by a cell wall. They can reproduce independently, and inhabit virtually every environment on earth, including soil, water, hot springs, ice packs, and the bodies of plants and animals. Most bacteria are harmless to humans. Bacteria are procaryoctic organisms.
Viruses are tiny geometric structures that can only reproduce inside a living cell. Outside of a living cell, a virus is dormant, but once inside, it takes over the resources of the host cell and begins the production of more virus particles. Viruses are more similar to mechanized bits of information, or robots, than to animal life. Viruses are not cells. Viruses are infectious. Viruses can only reproduce within a host cell.
Its amazing how ignorant most of the answers were! The one above me (serenity) is the best by far. To clarify: Viruses can have either DNA or RNA genomes. The larget virus genome is 3 times bigger than the smallest bacterial genome. A virus cannot make its own proteins or reproduce on its own.
