Okay I ran a full system scan in both regular and safe mode on windows ME. i looked at the results and only a few out of about fifty results deleted. alot of the rest were saying that access was denied, so i can't delete the viruses. others just had blank on their removal description. how do i delete them now?

The AVG antivirus is a good one to have, though if you do not have the money to get it, you can download AVG Free edition. You may not have man option on when it will automatically check your system, but it will, search your system, look for viruses, and quarentine them in their safe, if you wish. from that point you can either clean, or delete the file.

The free edition checks online once a week, and downloads new definitions as well as updates. By a lot of the sites that rate these types of programs, it is considered to be the best free antivirus program. I use it, and it is worth the download.

Take a look at the location of the virus. If it is part of the OS, try to quarantine. With that many, I would reload the OS.
start by upgrading to xp (wait for vista) and get avg professional for all of 44.00 you get 2 years of anti-virus and spyware protection @ http://www.grisoft.com just a herads up when you view your bank statement the debit goes to a colonge company so it will look strange and you will be clueless but thats what it is
